If you have a tighter budget and have time (flights are regularly postponed or cancelled), you can use Air Madagascar. It offers several weekly and direct flights to Antananarivo. From here you can reach the other airports of the big island.

If your itinerary combines the North with other regions of Madagascar we advise you to travel on Air France.
The company offers several weekly and direct flights to Antananarivo. From the capital, thanks to the domestic flights of Tsara Dia (subsidiary of Air Madagascar), you can reach (or return from) Tulear (Toliara), Morondava, Fort-Dauphin (Tôlanaro), Sainte-Marie (Nosy Boraha)… but also Diego-Suarez (Antsiranana) and Nosy Be.

Turkish Airlines
If you are leaving from a province or a European capital, since 2015, Turkish Airlines offers several weekly flights from the main European cities to Antananarivo via Istanbul and Port-Louis (Mauritius). For example, you can do a Lyon/Istanbul then an Istanbul/Antananarivo via Port-Louis.
